Blue-Eyed Daisy

Saw this beautiful blue-eyed daisy at the store, and couldn't help myself from snapping a couple of photos before the employee stopped me. I didn't question her, just said ok and on my way I went.

I had no idea why they don't like people taking pictures of what they have on their plot, but didn't really want to get into a confrontation either. Walking away seems to bring more peace in my mind, and it's much better for all.

  5. That is pretty! If it wasn't too expensive, I would have been greatly tempted to buy it.

  6. Mumsy...People are so unpredictable. Why i the world would the owner not want you to photograph the flower? It makes absolutely no sense to me. I would have turned and walked away, too. I am totally non confrontational. Glad you managed to get these shots so we can see a blue eyed daisy. That is a first. genie

  9. I hope something will grow from the seeds I planted, I am still waiting...It is taking a long time or either that it is not the right climate for those seeds yet.

  10. The colors in this daisy are gorgeous! Such a pretty center.

I am always surprised that these store owners don't want you taking photos. Most people consider it free advertising and welcome it. In fact, I took a few photos of flowers while walking around CostCo's yesterday. They had some interesting blooms that I thought I might plant in my garden later.

Anyhow, thank you very much for sharing these photos with Today's Flowers, I appreciate it very much.

p.s. I am getting ready to print out business card with my blog address. I know other bloggers have done this, especially when asking people if they mind being in their posts. If an occasion comes up I have told people who agree, that if they change their mind, to e-mail me and I will be happy to remove them. It takes a while to print everything out though, so that's the reason I thought of making a business card to hand out if it happens again.

  11. A beautiful flower. If the store employee had been nicer, you might have added where the flowers could be purchased and they really would have got free advertising. Oh well, their loss.

  12. Sometimes I get permission others not. I find that greenhouses are the friendliest and most receptive. I love your selection - stunning. You would think they would love the free promo.
