lavender rose of sharon
(Warning--don't read if you can't stomach bloody raw thoughts and feelings!)

Admit it, some people were just born under a lucky star, and some were from the gecko at the very first conception!

I belonged to the latter statement, and despite it some times!

It is the bloody truth and to be honest or RAW, one has to just say it out loud.

Pink Pop Corn Cloud

Strips of Pink Cloud In the Sky
It was a shocking delight to look up and saw this beautiful display of pink cloud. I don't think even a talented artist could have come up with this way of painting. I was speechless after say "wow".

Another Way to Bring Flowers Into the House

Guest Post by Robert Lobitz

Some days, while I am sitting around my home, I can’t help but feel that this place could be brighter. If it is not obvious yet, I love flowers and bright colors. I would love to get new furniture and furniture dressings in brighter colors but they would clash with the pale and boring colors that were chosen for the walls.

I want to repaint the walls with brighter colors, but I don’t have the time to do that. Like I said, I love flowers and that is my favorite way to bring some brightness and life into my home. If possible, I like to go to the farmer’s market and buy locally grown flowers to put in pretty vases and act as splashes of natural beauty and color. The only problem is that doing this every week takes a lot of money because the flowers wilt, die and need to be replaced regularly. This got me looking for a more inexpensive floral option.

It’s actually kind of funny how obvious the solution was. It had been staring me in the face for years, but I dismissed it as tacky and cheap looking. It’s about time I gave silk flowers another look. I am being completely serious here. While there is nothing that can completely replicate the beauty of real flowers, these recreations have gotten a lot better over the years and some have even tricked me into thinking they were real until I touched them. Not only have they gotten better and more accurate, but they are a lot more cost efficient than they used to be. The price of a bouquet of actual flowers will now buy you a large number of high quality silk flowers that will look beautiful and last forever as long as you care for them properly.

J Is For Jacobinia

Pink Jacobinia Carnea Flower
This is known as Jacobinia or Jacobina Carnea, and is a tropical plant. It comes in a variety of colors of white, light pink, dark pink, peach, yellow, and orange. It loves full sun, and thrives on water to grow. Around my neck of the woods, I can only see this fantastic flower at the Conservatory.

Oh The Things I Did

I love blogging!

I love what I know now comparing to 10 years ago about the internet. Back then, I joined many sites as an at home mom desperately trying to make some cents.

Light From the Fireworks

Fireworks Above My Head
I know July 4th was over, and I shouldn't show fireworks, but honestly I didn't know why the thought has not occurred to post them for Pink Saturday or Sky Watch.

Just A Thought

Blue Jay hiding
I am sitting here not feeling well in my stomach for these last two weeks. From the tough and rough lining of my 50 years plus, the tummy has reverted back to its sensitive infancy!

Why? No idea! It has everything to do with growing old, right?

Pink Sky

Touches of Pink In the Sky
Just for a change, I am featuring some sky photos this week. I love watching the sky just as much as watching flowers growing. It is always amazing to see the many different colors in the sky.

H Is For Hollyhocks

Pretty Holyhock Flowers
After dropping off three full box of paper for recycling at my church, I saw this beautiful hollyhock flowers growing along the wooden fence on my way out. I have always admired hollyhocks; so of course, I had to stop and took pictures.

Identifying a Good Car

Image borrowed from
The success of any business depends on the ability to get clients to buy goods or services that are needed. There are very many car advertisements. This is especially so in the Sunday newspaper and on the internet sites. You can find these advertisements on the internet on any search engine.

You have a wide range of options, from calling to just checking these advertisements. Most of the people owning these advertisements are ever ready to visit you so you can inspect the cars. It is more sensible to buy a car from a private owner as opposed to buying one from a car dealer. This is because with a private owner you not only get to avoid devious and annoying tactics from the car dealer but you also get to get the car at a cheaper price than what the dealer would have offered you.

However, from professional dealers you will be guided on several issues about the car. Dealers are very devious people who cheat innocent and unsuspecting people out of a lot of their money. These dealers are able to prey on multitudes because they place their adverts on the internet which attracts many people.

There are genuine dealers especially those that deal with Nissan of San Bernardino. Most people have the dream of owning a car. New cars are not accessible to many people because of their high cost. Many people therefore opt to buy second hand cars. These used and second hand cars provide the most realistic solution because they do not cost a fortune and are therefore affordable.

You should ensure that you properly check the background of any car dealer that you intend to transact with so as to avoid any mischievous deeds. You need to use the services of a professional expert so as to ensure that you are well informed on your decision.

Pretty Pink Flower Balls

Group of Flower Balls
I am not sure what they are called, but I just know that they were so pretty to see at a park near where I had to take my son to his soccer practices. I dropped him off and went wandering since I live too far to go home and come back.

G Is For Gazania

Orange Gazania
Gazania flowers are also known affectionately as African daisies, and they are annual flowers. Gazania comes in many different colors, and special markings on their petals. Once planted, the flowers continuously replaced themselves all through summer.
