Z Is For Zephyr

Arriving at the last letter in the alphabet today, makes me a bit sad even though I was struggling with this round a bit more than those previous because of limited time, pain/ache, and discouraging.

Z is a great letter but it rarely uses in conversation. Zebra, Zero, Zen and Zilch are the most Z words I heard.

I recently learned a new Z word: Zephyr! By definition it means: gentle, a mild breeze or any of various things of fine, light quality, as fabric, yarn, etc..

Today there is a Zephyr in the air, sun shine, and warmness surrounding me.

Winter and spring have given way for summer.

Nature is green and full of colors.

I will go and blend myself into the Zephyr for the day!

Bless you for READING!

  1. I like it! I want to start using that in conversation!

  2. I have heard the word zephyr but I had no idea what it ment. I guess I really didn't hear it but read it in a book.

  3. You found just the right "Z
    for your presentation today.

  4. I am so glad for you mumsy for having zephyr in the air, sun shine and warmness around you.

  5. Great word Mumsy, I have never heard of it either. Have a great day! Hope you enjoyed your Mother's day weekend too.

  6. Great word -- now I know what it means! :)

  7. This was interesting, have heard and see that word but never used it, So I will try it out today..
Thanks for the trivia comment. Yvonne

  8. Oh I'm sorry to hear that, I hope your pain and all goes away and you are on top of your game again! This post was very cool!

  9. That's a new word to me- glad to know the meaning. Have a great day!

  10. Ah, that wonderful zephyr! It warms the cockles of my heart, Mumsy! Great "Z" word!!!

  11. Zephyr is such a beautiful word, I think. Nothing nicer on an otherwise hot day than a zephyr!

  12. We've got a nice little zephyr going on here, too!

  13. I had heard of the word zephyr, but hadn't used it in conversation. Zounds like a good word for scrabble!

  14. Great advice Mumsey. I think I will try and do the same...

  15. Yay! I love that....and I hope it makes you feel happy!

  16. well that sounds like a wonderful way to spend the day ... in the warmth and nature!

  17. You made an excellent post with your choice of words. Thank you for sharing. It appears you may have smiled when you put these words in print. If it is true you have made me smile too. Happy weekend to you and come visit soon.

  18. Every time I see the word zephyr I think of the roller coaster monster of my childhood at Ponchintrain Beach in New Orleans. That roller coaster ride was the complete opposite of the meaning. That was the first and only time I went on a roller coaster.
Thanks for the little nudge to remember something from my childhood that I had not thought about in a long time! It made me smile!

  19. Awww...sweet lady. You are such a part of A-T for me...visiting you each week just feels like part of my routine...and, as always, I've enjoyed learning more about your courage and determination.

I am using these rounds as a sort of 'theme' discipline...writing about my old farmhouse was something I've been unable to do for so long. This next round I am going to force myself to dust off my paint brushes and be creative each week.

I hope you continue to participate...but I never, ever want it to be a source of pain or stress for you!

    Hugs and thanks and A+++++

I promise to visit you soon! But if your profile isn't public, and if you use GOOGLE+ comment form, I won't be able to return comment!
