I gather just enough general information, and think about the parents of these children. I don't want to know much about the killer or why he did what he did at a time like this.

The first Christmas after the divorce, we (the X and I) decided to carry on the tradition together as before. He would sleep on the couch at my house, wake up in the morning, and watch the kids opening their Santa's presents.
It wasn't the best decision, or the best way to go as we were still in limbo with our situation, for he lives 300 hundreds away, and visiting the children wasn't an easy deal. Above all, I think we both were lost, body and soul, but determined to move on without damaging the kids too much. 22 years together weren't a short time to erase, so I thought!

He was for sure that he would win, and that entire court system would be on his side. You see, he worked as a reporter for that small town newspaper, and his name is known there.

In 2001, my divorce was final. With three children in tow, I moved 300 miles away from their father and began the single mom life with less than a $1000 dollars on hands and no job.
The first two years was devoted in establishing routines, regularities, and normalcy for my children. I worked on the house so it could have the feel of home for all of us. This was the hardest part of time for us as we broke out into the unknown.

This week on Thursday, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving, and is also the start of Alphabe-Thursday round six.
I will start Alphabe-Thursday, round six, by writing out my experiences after the divorce, the grace and disgrace of events in hoping that those who are going through this hard time will find some comfort in reading how I've survived it all.
If you are a long time follower/reader, you know that I am physically handicapped so the challenge to survive with three children is not a small task.
I will link the posts here each week! This series will be RAW, so brace yourself and be warned..

If you conduct your business online, such as checking into your account, paying bills, or shopping through various websites, do you realize how vulnerable your personal information is? You might think that your password will keep you safe, but according to statistic, a professional hacker can unlock your password in .000224 second if there is no symbol in your password. So ask yourself: How hack-friendly is your password?
Are you a smart phone user? Do you know the alarming statistic that others have experienced in identity theft?
• 6.6% of victims are smartphone owners
• 6.8% of victims are social media users who click on the applications
• 8.2% of victims are social media users who have “checked in” using their smartphone GPS
• 10.1% of victims are LinkedIn users
My son was one of these victims in the statistic! Someone got his account numbers and password and went on a shopping spree in another State. Not knowing what happened on his behalf, he was locked out of his account when he needed to make a purchase!
Long story short, he called the bank and was notified of the suspicious transactions. The feelings of being robbed and vulnerability had him follow LifeLock on Twitter to catch on with their updates.
Your whole life can turn upside down in a matter of minutes, so is your personal information protected? Are you considered safeguarding your privacy against thieves or hackers?

I, myself, want to get a helicopter garden swing for my backyard as I spent lots of time around this area of my home, taking photos of critters, weeding out un-wanted plants, and to feast my eyes on beautiful blooming flowers, or just watching the children play.
Normally, we should have some sort of seating arrangements in our garden or backyard as well to enjoy our very short summer months. However, since I owned a two-seat glider which is stationed permanently on the front porch; I would love to have a garden swing as well for the backyard.
There is something about being rock back and forth that I found very soothing, even if it is just a gentle push. I would like to have a garden swing or glider that offers an umbrella overhead to shield the sun and the rain for protection. This is currently going on my list of goals for next year, so by next summer I shall have one.

This news led me in thinking and experiencing a feeling of shame that my two older children wouldn't be on this path of graduating from College.

From a very young age, children have already conceived some sort of things that they would like to do when they grow up. The most common notions are: fireman, policeman, actor/actress, nurse, doctor, or a professional ball player.
When one of my children came to me with a yearning to become a model, I supported her decision by going to meet with different agencies and companies. We also did research on the internet to find a reputable local agent. Along the way, we ran in many other areas in this business, such as The Miss World pageant.

Proud that I have lived this long despite my doctor's prediction that I would be gone by 30.
Sad that I spent the day by myself.
Pain and hurt to realize that this won't be the last birthday that I would have to be alone.
The three children that I once had, were all away with their dad.

This past few months it got hotter than usually and I noticed a brown patch on my skin where the laptop sat.
I bought two cooling fans for it already. It helps a little, but I know I have to invest in a new laptop soon as mine is getting very old.
