Hairy Monster

No idea whatsoever what this little critter was, but it was interesting to photograph and chased after even though it was very into the flowers.

My first impression was of a fly, but with all the hair on its body, I doubted it as a fly! It looked like a hairy monster to me...

This was one of nature surprises in the summer! I'm not fond of bugs but when they provided a chance to observe, it was quite stimulating to ponder.

T is For Time

Every other weekend when my little boy has to go with his dad, I'm sitting on needle and pin. I don't what would happen to him, but I know for sure he is very agitated. He has more than once told me that his friends didn't have to do this sort of things. My comforting words to him were that this weekend visits would end soon when he is old enough to make his own decision.

Just this past weekend, he made a call to me in distress and I can hear his sobbing in the background. My heart squeezed all the blood out of it and my stomach tightened in knots. He hid in the bathroom to make the call, and through what I could make out: his dad, the girlfriend, and his dad's brother and sister had ambushed him into a "talk to."

I couldn't imagine how my son must have felt with all of these mindless adults attacking him, or ganging on him because the dad had no decency with parenting skill. It should have been a private conversation, whatever it might be! They demanded my son to be joyful and cooperative in spending time with his dad.

Now, duh, by what they did, how should one feel being around them? I don't see any benefits in enlisting the help of others to bash a little child.  Fear and resentment might just as well build up rather than love or respect.

Well, these people pride themselves on being educated, but how they approached a child said differently in my book! This was the act of ignorance and shallow minds to say the least. You don't corner a child and demand him to be happy when he doesn't want to be there in the first place.

As I feel his anguish, I also feel my helplessness, anger, frustrating, and a truck load of intolerable behaviors from this half-a$$ man. How a parent could feel so good in handing over his own child over for ridicule? He has to be a piece of worthless human form to do something beyond comprehension...

On Changing

I have finally decided to list my blog with SocialSpark for a chance to make some pocket money, since life demands my ability to bring in what I could to afford all the expenses. So if you notice, I have taken a couple of jobs with SocialSpark. It is not much, but a little is still better than none.

I'm very particular in signing up, but SocialSpark is a great company that I've been working with for the last few years through my other blog.  They are legitimate, even though they hold the pay out until 30 days later; they do pay you through PayPal account.

If you are interested in having a chance to make some extra money, this is the one that I highly recommend.

Just click on the link in this post, sign up, list your blog, and wait for their approval. Once this process is over, they will send you an offer, and it is up to you to decline or accept, or negotiate a comfortable price for your post.  You will then have 5 days to complete the job.

You will write your post, 200 words on SocialSpark's site, and once they're approved the post will automatically publish on your blog.  Even if your post didn't go through the first time, you will be given a chance to correct it, or re-write.

It's very simple, but a sure way to make some money!

A Bug On Me

This bug has been identified as EASTERN BOXELDER by Leslie at Tranquil Acres of Alexandria!

I don't exactly know what this bug was, maybe milkweed bug or something, but they came out at the end of summer, and flied around our yard. It was a fascinating critter to watch, and observed.

I love the color on this bug, and when it flied, it showed a red belly. I am not even sure what kind of damage this bug can bring, so I just followed it and took pictures!

S is For Sudden

I caught the end of the movie "Pride and Prejudice" when Mr. Darcy and Miss Elizabeth finally embraced their love. That was it for me! The romance, the aching, the longing, and the beautiful things he said to her sent me into limbo.

I had no idea where my emotions came from, and surely this was not the first time I saw the movie. In fact, I have seen it at least 10 times already, but it never had a hold on me as it was this time around. I was "bewitched" by their love affair! I was thrown into a burning desire to find such pure and romantic notion.

I couldn't function, literally! The last scene tugged at me, and tormented me. Love seemed so beautiful and rare; the kind of love to die for, but this one had a happy ending. I then possessed to read Pride and Prejudice again, listened to the soundtrack music, and listened to Mathew MacFadyen's reading. You must listen to his wonderful and fantastic voice! He couldn't be any better than this.

Darn! What was wrong with me? Did Cupid shot me the wrong arrow? Did I get the Valentine love bite? Whatever it was, it was a welcome break to feel like a human again, and for a short time forgot all turmoils around me! I hope you will enjoy these clips, and fall in love all over again!

Boudreaux For Diaper Rash

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Boudreaux's Butt Paste. All opinions are 100% mine.

Many of my blogging friends are mothers of young children, who have experienced diaper rash at one point or another, and for those moms, I encourage you to visit  Boudreaux's Butt Paste to get a free sample. You will be glad to know that it comes in many different sizes, and flip top caps if you're interested in purchasing.

Personally, I haven't used this product before but my niece with toddlers in hand told me how great it is for diaper rash. She was not kidding! While babysitting my niece's children, I had the honor of using this Butt Paste, and it went on smoothly, plus had such a pleasant smell to it.

Come To the Table

I like to have quick meal, since time is so limited in a day. This recipe consists of sausages, cut into bite size bits, with sliced onion, red and green pepper.

It is served over hot cooked rice, and can be made in less than 15 minutes.  We then had a complete meal of grain, vegetables, and protein.

The Right to Mate

I was outside shoveling the snow, and watched these three black squirrels fighting, jumping from branches to branches in a chaos. I didn't understand what was going on at first, and then it hit me: the males were fighting for his right to mate with the female.

All the female wanted to do was to get away from these rowdy males! She kept escaping from them, but they ended up chasing her.

At the end, one of the males won the battle, and the happy couple ran off behind my garage! Enjoy your weekend..

R Is For Relationship

Relationship sucks! Racism sucks! Relentless sucks! These are my "R" choices for the week, and I like them all. Relationship with family members and friends are excluded in this grand scheme. I'm not currently in a relationship with any man, unless the X is counted as a man, which is very questionable.

Every since he picked up a new bed-mate, not only my children suffer; I'm once again become this horrid woman.  Anything goes wrong, it's my fault! Anything the kids said or showed displease, I somehow brainwashed them, even when I'm not around or know what going on! I'm just so tired with these craps!

If the X doesn't get what he wants, then all hell breaks loose! My 25 years old, times and times again, has asked his dad to stop shoved his new bed-mate onto him and his siblings, but that was ignored and dishonored. It became my fault for brainwashed my children, and the grandpa joined the band wagon in accusing my children of being racism.

Give me a break! Just because someone doesn't like how things are carried out, they cried prejudice/racism. Their brain is so small to think that you can't force a relationship, so they play this card! What happens to my children's freedom of speech or constitutional rights? Who is prejudice or racist in this case?

You see, I've met up with this woman, the X's bed-mate, wished her happiness, hugged her, asked her to allow the relationship to develop naturally, but that were not enough for neither of them, and since she is a black woman; he is a white man; they flip the skin colors to make it an issue!

We live in the middle Detroit, and they live in an all white community, but yet we are the racist ones! What ticked me off, is that they think they have all the rights, but we can't even express how we feel. Now, his brainless father even went after my kids, and force his grandchildren to embrace a woman that they barely know, or else he would label them as prejudice!

When dealing with these ignorant people, relationship sucks, racism sucks, and their nonsense relentless demands suck!

Creating An Alien Zinnia

About two years ago, I fell in love with zinnia flowers, and started to save dried heads to grow during the summer months. Some of my zinnia flowers had beautiful mixed of colors, and this one turned out to be alien.

It never grew any petals but just squiggly stamens around the heart of the flowers! It was different, and unique in its own way.

Hope you enjoy seeing this alien zinnia!

Q Is For Quiet

I can be quiet for a very long time, without talking to any one in person, or on the phone, or text messages on the week that I have no children with me. I'm not a talker usually so a week isn't all that long.

I consider those time my "silence diet" time. Working at home provides me flexibility. I would work for a couple of hours, and then I would go outside for a 5 minutes break. Other times, I would do laundry, or washing the dishes, or cleaning the house. I don't need to talk, but in my mind, I'm either talking to myself, or to God.

Quiet the mind is harder than quiet the mouth! It takes a little discipline, and a stern directing for all the negative thoughts or bad feelings to go away.  Even when I talk to God, I find myself asking him for help all the time! There are moments when I quietly blame my troubles on him, asking him to take them away, and stop giving them to me.

I reason with God that I don't need trouble, and I just want to live a peaceful life. The conversation goes on in my mind and an argument constantly takes place in my subconsciousness. It's strange to think that I'm quiet, but yet my mind is so busy with the chattering.

There are people who can't quiet their mouth, and would continuously talk about anything and everything. I often wonder if their mind is as busy or is it a blank canvas! Is it possible that we can be physically quiet, but mentally busy, or vice versa?
