Hardy Pink Orchids

I love orchids of different kinds, colors, and shapes! There are some delicate ones, and there are some hardy ones like in these pictures! When it comes to orchids, I can only admire them but have no ambition to try to grow them!

These orchids seem so hardy to me. They are found at our local Conservatory, which I often visit when I hit bottom in spirit and energy.

Last week, LV at Thoughts From Meme's Corner was kind enough to feature my blog even though I didn't participating in Pink Saturday. I really appreciate that kind gesture, and want to do the same for her gorgeous blog.

  5. Hi Mumsy - I love this orchid its a cymbidium and I had lots of them in my wedding bouquet. We put them outside here during the summer to rest and then bring them indoors to bloom during the winter.

  8. I have always loved orchids. They are so pretty but do not last very long. Also, when growing up if you received an orchid that was a luxury item. You very kind of to mention me in your post today. I appreciate it very much.

  9. I was given an orchid when my father passed. Unfortunately he passed shortly after. Your pictures are beautiful & maybe one day I will try again to grow the lovely flower. I read that you are not supposed to water them, but to place ice cubes on the soil??? If I decide to buy one I will research first.

    Take care & God bless!
