Fresh Young Leaves

These were the new leaves of my rose bush from last year, and the rain left some beautiful drops on them. It was a great sight to see after a long dreary winter. Before putting my camera to good use, I didn't notice how beautiful a simple thing like this could be.

The red hue of the leaves and the branch itself stood out against the green background, which gave it an incredible spot light in nature.

I'm starting to see the tulip leaves pushing through the ground, so spring is definitely very close in coming. Very soon, the earth will rejoice in colors again, and the sun will be a warm welcome.

Thanks for being here!

  1. Beautiful photos Mumsy! I'm so happy to see signs of spring popping up all over. We saw lots of daffodils along the highway on our trip this weekend, and what a happy sight that was! Kathy

  15. Beautiful. It is amazing what we see when we look through the lens of our cameras. I have always been enamored of nature but now that I carry a camera around with me all the time I see it in a whole new or maybe I should say fresher aspect. The camera has renewed my appreciation of natures beauty.
